Parents are split on this one!
Depending on how things went down right after the birthday party, there’s a chance that LEGO box didn’t even stand a chance.
The birthday child has been waiting FOREVER to build this set. The wrapping paper goes flying. The box gets ripped open. Bags and instructions come pouring out.
And five minutes later, the box is headed for recycling. 😂
But other families are firmly in the SAVE THE BOX camp.
They carefully cut the seals, remove the bags and instructions, and tuck the box away in an attic, closet, or storage space for safekeeping.
Some parents flatten the boxes to save space. Others keep them intact. Maybe the artwork provides inspiration later—or maybe someday all those pieces will go back into the original box to be passed along to a younger cousin or sold to help fund the next LEGO obsession.
And then there are families who look at the growing stack of empty boxes and think:
“We already have enough LEGO taking up space!”
There are plenty of good reasons to keep the boxes—and plenty of good reasons to let them go.
