August at Brick Surfers: Building, Messes, Memories & More! 🧱🏄
Another month of Brick Surfing is in the books!
During August, we talked a lot about what happens around the LEGO building.
We talked about finding the right place to build, knowing when it’s time to make room for the next adventure, dealing with the bedroom that looks like a LEGO disaster, and even asking a bigger question: Who is a Brick Surfer?
We also built some pretty wild things, answered questions about the way our kids play, laughed about the pieces that always disappear, and took a few Sundays to remember that sometimes the mess isn’t really the important part at all.

That’s a lot of LEGO adventures for one month!
But one of my favorite things about looking back over August is realizing that Brick Surfers isn’t really just about LEGO organization.
Yes, we want to tame the LEGO Lava Pit. We want to find homes for the bricks, clear the dinner table, and figure out what to do with all those half-finished creations.
But we also want to make room for kids to build.
To imagine.
To experiment.
To make a mess sometimes.
And, as this month’s final reflection reminded me, to enjoy this season while they’re still young enough to invite us into it.
