Besides accidentally stepping on LEGO pieces at home (which I definitely do not recommend), the first time I ever heard of someone intentionally walking across LEGO bricks was at a fundraiser.
The organizer explained that they had created a long path of LEGO pieces. Participants would walk across it—either barefoot or in socks—and the farther they made it, the more money they raised.
“Wait… intentionally walk across LEGO pieces?” I asked.
“That’s right,” she said. “It’s for a fundraiser.”
“Does that require some kind of liability insurance?”
“They sign a waiver.”
I laughed—but I still went through the LEGO collection beforehand and removed anything I thought might be a little too dangerous. Even so, the whole idea was a bit of a mind-bend.
So now I’m curious…
If you had to walk across LEGO pieces, would you rather do it barefoot or wearing socks?
And if you’ve actually done a LEGO fire walk before, I definitely want to hear that story.
