How far can your LEGO bricks reach?
Pick two sturdy spots in your home—a kitchen table and counter, the sofa and coffee table, or two chairs—and challenge your family to build a LEGO bridge all the way across.
The catch? The bridge has to support itself without breaking!
Once you make it across, move your two starting points a little farther apart and try again.
How far can you go?
Can you build a bridge that’s 2 feet long? 3 feet? 4 feet? Even farther?
Experiment with different ways of building. Make the bridge wider. Add supports. Reinforce weak spots. If it breaks, figure out where it failed and try a different design.
Family Challenge: Measure your longest successful bridge and see if someone else in the family can beat it!
This is a great challenge to tackle together—or set the kids loose on it while you’re nearby making supper, folding laundry, or getting something else done. You might be surprised how long they keep redesigning their bridge to squeeze out just a few more inches. 😄
📸 If you give the LEGO Bridge Challenge a try, we’d love to see how far you made it!
Remember: Family adventures start with one brick!
